How it all started...
Going back to where it all began on December 13th, 1988 at a prayer meeting in the home of Allen and Sheila Story, 14 families felt led by The Holy Spirit to begin a new mission church in Paulding County. During that meeting, Reverend Donald R. Voyles accepted the call to pastor the new mission church with the understanding it would be established in the Southern Baptist Convention.
The name “Unity Baptist Church” is scripturally based on Ephesians 4:13 and Psalms 113:1.

Expanding the vision...
In 2019, Unity Baptist Church celebrated 30 Years as a church and adopted a new theme, "Dreaming New Dreams, Seeing New Visions". We hope that you will join us together in worship and fellowship!
On August 4th, 2019, Rev. Donald Voyles retired as pastor of Unity Baptist Church. This opened up a new territory for the committees of Unity because Rev. Voyles was the founding pastor of Unity Baptist Church. A pulpit committee was formed and the search began for a new pastor.
In November 2020 Unity Baptist Church elected Rev. Wayne Phipps as the new pastor.

Our mission continues to be making a difference for the Kingdom of God and sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ here in Dallas and the world.
Individually, we continue to purposely develop and grow in our relationship with God. Collectively, we continue to find ways to bring the hope and peace of Jesus to our community through service and love.
